AUSOM Concert Series - Citizen Artistry

On Thursday, March 14, the 私人影院 School of Music Concert & Lecture Series presents 鈥淐itizen Artistry鈥� 鈥� a lecture-recital by Profs. Nancy Dahn & Timothy Steeves (Duo Concertante).
Profs. Dahn and Steeves believe in the importance of the individual鈥檚 role in encouraging thought around issues of environmentalism and social justice. Their 鈥渃itizen artistry鈥� brings together music and matters that are important to them personally. By commissioning new works and creating outreach performances that address the climate emergency, physical disability, discrimination, mental illness, sexuality and marginalization, they create an effective platform for engagement while at the same time supporting artists and new creation. Join them as they discuss and give examples of their evolution as citizen artists.
This event begins at 1:00pm in DENTON HALL AUDITORIUM.
