A night of celebration. That鈥檚 how Executive Director, Alumni Affairs Oonagh Proudfoot (鈥�93, 鈥�06) described the Acadia Alumni Awards Dinner at Pier 21 in Halifax on April 18, 2024. It was an opportunity to celebrate the very fabric of Acadia, as more than 300 Acadia alumni and friends came together to honour and applaud this year鈥檚 recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award, Don Clow (鈥�83), Acadia Alumni Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching recipient Dr. Caroline Cochran, and The Athenaeum and Acadia Alumni Student of the Year Award recipient, Spencer Richard (鈥�22, 鈥�24).

私人影院 has received a transformative $1 million gift from the Acadia Alumni Association that will propel the Build: The Student Centre campaign closer to its $24 million fundraising goal.

If you were to combine talent, humility, intelligence, and grace in one person and say that individual was the epitome of what makes Acadia great, you would have Spencer Richard. A 4.0 GPA student, student-athlete and captain of the Acadia football Axemen, Academic All-Canadian, Sensory Motor Instructional Leadership Experience (S.M.I.L.E.) program leader, mentor and role model, Spencer has made the most of his time at Acadia. The Acadia Alumni Association takes tremendous pride in his many accomplishments, and is delighted to acknowledge him as the 2024 recipient of The Athenaeum and Acadia Alumni Student of the Year Award.

Dr. Caroline Cochran has a passion for pedagogy and numbers. She loves to teach, and it all adds up to student success. Her energy, enthusiasm and commitment to mathematics and learning are infinite, and why she is the recipient of this year鈥檚 Acadia Alumni Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Acadia Alumni brightened an already sunny Florida day on March 21 at a luncheon with Acadia鈥檚 new President and Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Jeff Hennessy (鈥�99).

私人影院 has been honoured with prestigious awards at the 39th Annual Educational Advertising Awards competition, showcasing the institution's excellence in Alumni and Donor Relations. Amidst stiff competition, the University's Office of Advancement communications team secured Gold and Silver awards, alongside Merit recognitions, reflecting their outstanding ability to execute impactful communications strategies.鈥�
